Two of the eight sides yet to register a win in the Italian top flight this season meet on Saturday afternoon as Como play host to FC Bologna.
Como had a campaign to remember in the second division last year. Cesc Fàbregas’ side secured a return to the Serie A for the first time in over 20 years with a second place finish, but the main issue is whether they can avoid an immediate drop this season. The Blues have started the 2024-25 campaign poorly on all fronts, losing the Italian Cup first round against Sampdoria on penalties and picked up just one point from their three league games played so far.
Bologna also had their best season for years last season. The visitors finished 5th qualifying for the Champions League; the last time they came close to achieving something of that sort was in the 2018-19 campaign when they finished in 10th place. Head coach Vincenzo Italiano will be hoping to build on last season’s performance but his side is already in the relegation zone.
Como vs Bologna Betting Tips: Double Chance Bologna
While Como will be looking to give their fans an answer after four games without a win in the 2024-25 season, Bologna have a lot of experience in the Italian top flight and I fancy an away win as the most likely outcome of Saturday's game.
Bologna have suffered just one defeat this season and the Rossoblu had one of the best records on the road in Serie A last season. They suffered just four defeats away from Renato Dall'Ara, with only champions Inter Milan suffering fewer away defeats.
- Best Tip: Bologna to win or Draw
- Como vs Bologna prediction: 1-1
Como team news
Rapha?l Varane has been unavailable for Como since suffering a knee injury on his debut and the former Man United and Real Madrid defender won’t be available for Saturday’s game.
The hosts’ injury list also includes Italian professional Daniele Baselli who has missed the last three games due to a muscle injury.

Bologna team news
Lewis Ferguson will once again be unavailable to FC Bologna boss Italiano due to a cruciate ligament injury that will keep out until 2025.
Ferguson is being accompanied in the treatment room by Nicolò Cambiaghi who is also nursing a cruciate ligament injury and the likes of Oussama El Azzouzi, Dan Ndoye, Martin Erli? and Niklas Pyyhti?.
