Stuttgart had an absolutely awesome last season, as they finished second in front of teams like Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, and Borussia Dortmund. Still, to be fair, they were not close to challenging Bayer Leverkusen for the title. Regardless, finishing 2nd is a massive success, especially since they were in the relegation playout the season before. Over the Summer, they changed the squad a lot and lost some key players. Even though their results could have been better, the impression is that they play pretty nice football. Right now, they are 10th with four points in three rounds.
Borussia Dortmund finished 5th last season in the Bundesliga, which is far from desirable for their standards. Luckily, the Champions League changed the format and added four new teams, and they managed to secure an appearance even from fifth place. However, in the Champions League, the Millionaires did great, reaching the finals, where they lost to Real Madrid 2:0. Over the Summer, they did not change the squad too much, but they added some great players. Two of those were key Stuttgart players from last season - Serhou Guirassy and Waldemar Anton. And indeed, Borussia are playing excellent football as they won four of five games in all competitions. Right now, the bookies see them as the third favorite for the Bundesliga title, offering odds around 13.
Stuttgart vs Borussia Dortmund pick: Over 3.5 goals
Stuttgart have been awesome for this type of bet, regardless of the results. So far, they were over 3.5 goals in all six games in all competitions! Also, last season they have been much better offensively at home than on the road. At MHPArena, they averaged 2.94 goals per game, compared to "only" 1.65 per game away from home. So, we believe they can score a couple of goals at home against anyone in Germany.
Borussia Dortmund are in fatastic form. They won four out of five games, and it seems that they are only getting better offensively. In the last two games vs Heidenheim and Club Brugge, they scored seven goals! But if we take a look at their offensive talent, we cannot really be surprised by such performances, and scoring at least two goals shouldn't be a problem against Stuttgart, which haven't been great defensively this year.
Considering all the above, we expect an exciting, high-scoring game, most likely with both teams scoring.

Borussia Dortmund team news
After a 3:0 win over Club Brugge, coach Nuri Sahin spoke to the media. He praised the substitutes for snatching a victory late in the game but also noted they deserved to win. Meanwhile, captain Emre Can said that it wasn't the performance they wanted but that he was still satisfied with a win.
Borussia Dortmund should have almost the entire squad available, with only Giovanni Reyna missing the match with a groin injury.
