Jevgenijs ‘The Hurricane’ Aleksejevs. Profile and record
For the first time in his professional career, MightyTips ambassador and undefeated boxing star Jevgenijs "The Hurricane" Aleksejevs is heading to Spain in what looks set to be a thrilling night of boxing on the Costa del Sol.
Our new fighting star will face Frenchman Dimitri Trenel (9-3-0). The two will be on the undercard of the Samuel Molina (double Spanish lightweight and super lightweight champ) and Ignacio Mendoza (44 wins, 14 losses, three draws) fight at the Holiday World Resort in Benalmadena in Spain on 5th August.
There will be eight fights in total on the card, including a middleweight eight-rounder between Ayoub Elfahmi (7-1-0) and Christopher Mena (4-6-3), a super middleweight clash between José Luis Navarro (8-1) and former Spanish champion José Manuel L. Clavero (16-21-1), and a light heavyweight bout between Sweden's Constantin Nangas (9-0-0) and Nicaraguan Roberto Arriaza (19-7-0).
The return to action is a long-time coming for The Hurricane, who last fought in 2021, beating experienced Estonian fighter Pavel Semjonov unanimously on the scorecards.
Despite his time out of the ring, the Hurricane is likely to be a favourite to add to his undefeated record here.
Although he only has 13 boxing fights behind him, his combat career stretches back much further than that - at one point, he was the European champion in kickboxing. He dominated the sport for a period before a cruel leg break curtailed his career in that discipline.
His experience in the ring, fast hands, agile movement, and deceptive power could prove too much for his opponent.

After a fast start to his boxing career, winning his first eight bouts (four by TKO), Trenel has endured three defeats in his previous four fights - losing two by TKO.
His most noteworthy opponent was Olympic silver medallist Pat McCormack, who he fought at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle in July of last year. A stiff left hand to the head TKO'd him, and the fight was over within 100 seconds.
Despite his recent travails, Trenel could prove a tough opponent. Where able, he pours pressure onto his opponents with a relentless, punch-heavy approach.
