As Blackburn Rovers saw out a 1-0 win, Lewis Travis entered the game in the 78th minute helping them grasp three points against Dimitrios Goutas’ Cardiff City.
Liam Palmer featured on the bench for Sheffield Wednesday in a 1-0 loss to hosts Watford. Jacob Chapman was not in the team in Huddersfield’s 2-1 win over QPR.

Liam Palmer was on the bench for Sheffield and witnessed them go down in disappointing collapse late on in the game.
Watford controlled the game on possession with 59% to Sheffield’s 41%. Both sides managed to record ten or more shots. With the game staying at 0-0 for the majority of tme, a late strike from Asprilla sealed the win for Watford.
The defeat sent Sheffield packing even more into the rock bottom with only three points in 12 games.
Jacob Chapman was absent from the squad as Huddersfield recorded a 2-1 win over rivals QPR.
Despite QPR dominating possession with 61.3%, Huddersfield came out the winners thanks to chances taken well - with 4 shots on target as opposed to QPR’s one.
Huddersfield advance to 18th, leaving QPR lying 22nd.
Blackburn Rovers will go down to Millwall, while Cardiff will travel up to Huddersfield on the 24th October. Sheffield Wednesday have a long trip to Plymouth Argyle a day later.
